The Strategy guides governments and non-government organisations in the development and delivery of drug strategies, programs and initiatives for the prevention and reduction of harmful drug use.

The National Drug Strategy 2004-2009 is a policy framework that provides a coordinated, integrated approach to prevent and reduce the harms caused by drugs in the Australian community. It is the responsibility of the Ministerial Council on Drugs Strategy, which is the peak policy and decision making body on licit and illicit drugs.

Get Acrobat ReaderTo view PDF (Portable Document Format) documents, you will need to have a PDF reader installed on your computer. The Adobe Acrobat Reader is available free of charge from Adobe's website.
